I think the first photo says it all - this week has been WET! and many of you like me might be wondering where Spring has gone!

Fooled by the lovely Easter Bank holiday weekend my backpack for dog walking contains not just the essential dog first aid kit, poo bags and treats but the important sunscreen, and water bottles (one for me and one for the dogs!)

However, no sunscreen required this week but boy did I need my waterproofs. More than ever I was feeling thankful for my Cumbrian upbringing and those waterproof trousers and sensible Gortex shoes! I knew they would come in useful in Nottingham at some point! Dogs were certainly grateful for their coats and some actually weren't that keen for a walk at all!

Dogs need fresh air, socialisation and walking whatever the weather so I am glad we are all kitted out and I always hold onto the saying that - ..."no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes......."

Rain is good for the gardens and the soul and essential to life...but I for one am hoping for a little less of it next week......
